A lovely event held on the Stranahan House and Museum grounds, on the New River, in downtown Ft Lauderdale. Very windy but sunny and not too humid.
The highlight was meeting and chatting with my booth neighbors, they were so friendly and kind and I felt a deep appreciation of community. I also met some jovial attendees who checked out my artwork and we shared some cool convos.
The main reason I chose to do this event was to spark new ideas, challenge myself to complete works and start new ones. But I had many other great outcomes!
It gave me the opportunity to reassess my branding and image from a consumer pov.
It sparked new ideas, like my postcard business card. And let me to figure out how to best make collages as art and for journals – including combos and using music sheets as backgrounds.
Finally, I was able to work on how to find a simple explanation of what my works are and fine tune my description in real time.
