I feel like I shouldn’t have this much fun making this postcard series…. but I am!
This postcard is made from words cut from a vintage novel a vintage Schlitz beer ad – the full image is him side-eyeing a woman, we just see the back of her wavy red hair, and he’s saying it’s good he stopped for a drink b/c he’s met a girl who likes the same things he likes… cheap beer!
Someone needs to write the screenplay for this boozy meet-cute! Synopsis: they fall in love over suds, get married, have 3 kids, are both miserable and the only they have in common is drinking, last scene is them with cigarettes and paper coffee cups in each hand awkwardly hugging in an alley outside of an AA meeting.
